Jamming in the Studio
Переглядів 69Рік тому
An untitled progressive tune written and produced by Steve Schad. I played around with it in the studio as a "J. Tull meets Genesis vibe" or something of the sort! Definitely not the final take, but fun to experiment with....

Gino Vannelli - Brother to Brother LIVE 2014
Who is the singer? Fantastic!
Seen them many times in the 80s. Played Albany area. Tigers, Hullabaloo, JB Scotts, Saratoga Winners. Original lineup was: Dave Porter - lead vocals, guitar Ed Vivenzio - keyboards, backup vocals Greg "Creamo" Liss - bass, backup vocals Frank Briggs - percussion, drums
Fantastic arrangement & the piano at start & finish.......!!!
I saw Atlas[Linen Co]. at Livingston's Ale House back in the 1980s. Best local band ever!
805 played at SUNY Potsdam during my freshmen year 1977. They made me proud of Syracuse.
Use to play at after dark in Lockport lo c Ed them
Nice!
complimenti fantastico assolo, è possibile avere lo spartito ?
Arrangements and harmony have a rich texture and are wonderful. Bravo depuis Montréal.
Michael was at the top of his game here, his solo intro is basically "Hi, I'm Michael Brecker and I'm a bad ass. Any questions?" He was recording with some of the best out there and he simply crushed it. RIP my friend.
GO CARMEN!!!
805♡とか706♡とか愛❤️の数字らしいで❤❤❤
Good lord, man - Steve Grove is insanely good. I guess now the guy is "Euge Groove" and does smooth jazz - I prefer this incarnation. This guy is mind blowing in this performance.
Seismic.
Sensacional!!
The trumpets really get to show up (and show off) on this, and sound so great, but here's a shout out to the trombones and woodwinds -- really wonderful ensemble playing through almost incomprehensible time signatures.
Al Chez. 🎺
That's a stellar musical cast in that band...! AND...Brecker sounds incredible...!
Saw Atlas many times at The Rum Runner in Geneva, they always rocked it
These time signatures feel like rocket surgery.
3rd set was like a show set they brought out all the theatrics
Love this! We saw them many times way back when in RaChaCha!
So we start off in 6/8, but then just hold on for dear life! They make it sound sooo easy.
yesyesyesyesyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Musicians make us so happy.
Great band, great arrangement !!
I saw them in Providence RI in like 1979. If I remember correctly, they played the whole Selling England By The Pound album. They were seriously talented to say the least
the sax player never stops playing...
Saw 805 many times at Allens in Glenville NY..
never saw frank play with his bro!!!
Lotta Gato in that solo. Nice.
Great band in the perfect venue for them. Saw. TOP a few times there in 87 and 88.
Steve Grove aka EUGE Groove, my boy!!!
John Patitucci in his fine and private place where none ********
oh swoon
wow!
Aaahh...1989..my own personal summer of '69 so to speak..young, free, not yet "spoiled by the game" (as TOP so perfectly said it), on my own, scoring with chic's, and loving the vibrant music scene the world had to offer..it was the also the 1st time seeing TOP live (May 27, 1989 Oakland Stadium) after having discovered their East Bay sound ...loved this lineup and the Monster LP..later when Larry joined, they took it to another level..baddest cats in the land..
Insane drumming!
And this is what they looked like when I first started going to their shows... and when they were sitting in on Letterman now and then on Fridays. 😲
love it!
Oh my god. This record has always been one of my favorites of all time but holy crap, could the photography have been any worse than this? On top of the cameraman dropping the ball on people actually playing, the editing makes it even worse! They decided to cut away to the mixing console when Brecker started his solo? WHY? And when they finally did cut back to him playing, we get a shot from directly in front of him and zoomed in on his mouthpiece? Why not show him actually playing his instrument from the side a bit, or you know, zoom the camera out a little? Why am I so upset about this? I'm sorry, guys :(
saw 805 many times in the day, plus working at uncle sams it was a win/win for me there but poorhouse east/poorhouse west/afterdark, all great times
Arturo made 1st chair! What a surprise.
Saw 805 play many times during the 80s in the Mohawk Valley and then this reunion show at the Turning Stone. Outstanding! It was always dumbfounding that the album Stand in Line didn’t get the airplay and national recognition it deserved.
WE love you Mr. McKee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bellevue Junior High Jazz Band director , Memphis Tennesswee..The first tune he taught them was Mercy Mercy Mercy with Joe and Cannonball! He said, "We are NOT going to learn Mary Had A Little Lamb!!!
What were they thinking
This is the cause of global warming.
HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guitar nice here, just wish he played clean like Conte used to.!GREG ADAMS flugelhorn is just perfectly right on the sweet zone. Not a lot of folks know that Adams arranged most of the horn parts for TOP! He a gifted genius !
Brecker, the group, what an immortal track
